Awaited since its surprise announcement in 2021, Marvel's Wolverine is finally back in the conversation, and its Ain't No Hero trailer climbed into the trending charts of 24 countries. The raw number, just over 900,000 views on the PlayStation channel, might look modest next to the ranking's musical juggernauts. It actually tells a completely different story. As often in gaming, the official video is merely the epicenter of a much wider shockwave. Filmed reactions, frame-by-frame breakdowns, dissections of the smallest gameplay detail, the galaxy of derivative content multiplies the real audience tenfold at minimum. A game trailer is not watched, it is collectively dissected, and this one fed hundreds of channels in its release week. The simultaneous presence in markets as varied as Japan, Brazil and Saudi Arabia confirms the special status of PlayStation exclusives in our data. They are among the only video game contents able to generate a synchronized worldwide event, where the rest of YouTube gaming lives essentially through local creators and national communities. Sony has turned its releases into planetary appointments, on par with cinema blockbusters. For Insomniac Games, already behind the Spider-Man titles that sold consoles by the pallet, the stakes go beyond commercial success. Turning Marvel's most feral mutant into the next PS5 seller, that is the mission. The trailer's tone, markedly darker and more violent than the spider's adventures, suggests the studio fully embraces the difference. The claws are out, and the world clearly wants to see it. Those 909,000 views deserve some perspective. It is the smallest volume among all the videos covered in these pages, just behind BTS's NORMAL and its 922,000 views. Yet both appear in a comparable number of countries, 24 and 30. The pairing is instructive because the mechanisms have nothing in common. BTS mobilizes fanbases clicking at the same instant across every continent. PlayStation relies on a console install base spread fairly evenly across some forty solvent markets. In one case simultaneity comes from fervor, in the other from commercial infrastructure. The ranking puts them on the same line, which is both the strength and the limit of an indicator that only measures presence.
